Today's Readings: Isaiah 50:4—9a; Philippians 2:5-11; Psalm 31:9-16; Matthew 27:11-54

Together in Faith: Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” Matthew 27:37

The Kingship of Jesus involves suffering as well as victory. Palm Sunday and Holy Week remind us that our life-long journey with Jesus will lead us through both cross and resurrection.

Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there will be an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Caleb Collins.

Literacy Day: St. Mark’s will be hosting its second literacy day on Saturday, April 29th from 9:00-11:30. All Edison first-graders and their families will be invited to attend this event as well as the children from St. Mark’s. The morning will be packed with storytelling, crafts, free books, food and more. We want to keep kids reading over the summer and to support our mission of outreach to our neighbors. Junior Warden Schedule: Our current Junior Warden, Bob Cheatham, will be keeping regularly scheduled hours at the office: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 9-11 am performing various maintenance duties; also every Friday from 9 am-Noon performing beautification, and property maintenance.
