![]() A note from Father Lucian: As many of you know, this year’s cold and flu season is still active. To help us stay healthy this Lenten season, please follow these guidelines for participating in our Sunday worship services and other events at St. Mark’s: 1. If you are sick, please stay home. We love you, but not your germs. If you decide to stay home, please join us for live Sunday worship online. 2. If you are not sick, but are older or have a weakened immune system, or simply don’t want to risk getting sick, please consider wearing one of our free masks that are on the tables as you enter the sanctuary. We don’t want you to get sick! 3. To help keep both you and others from accidentally transmitting germs while at church, before you enter the sanctuary or the Parish Hall please use the free hand sanitizer that is available in the Narthex, in the Parish Hall, and in the Men’s and Women’s restrooms. 4. If possible, while inside the sanctuary or the Parish Hall, please try to spread out as much as possible, so that there is plenty of room between people in the pews or at tables. Most airborne disease germs and viruses like cold, flu, RSV, and pneumonia are airborne. These germs and viruses fall to the floor within a few feet of transmission from a sick person, so help us stay healthy by spacing out physically (but not mentally ;-) ). Ash Wednesday: Ash Wednesday is this week, on March 05, 2025. We will have one service at 12 Noon, with imposition of ashes. Please join us for this time of worship and reflection as we begin Lent. Mark your calendars! Right after our 10am service on Sunday March 30, St. Mark’s is having a Ministry Fair in our parish hall. Whether you’re new to St. Mark’s or have been here a long time, this is your chance to learn about all our different ministries, and how you can use the unique talents God gave you to bless others by being part of one or more ministries. There is also a Bake Sale coinciding on the day of the Ministry Fair. All donations are welcome. Money raised will be going to the St. Mark’s Discretionary Fund. Food Pantry: February set-up days: March 10th and 24th , 7-9am. Distribution: February 11th and 25th, 8-10:30am. God Bless everyone for supporting our mission to help the food insecure in Mesa! The food pantry wants to thank you for all the food that was given during Advent. We would like to continue collecting food. If you could give food monthly it would help our budget go further. We are in need of peanut butter and jelly, cereal, canned vegetables or beans. There will be a box in the narthex to deposit the food items. Thank you for helping us. Thrift Store: Mark Downs Thrift Store is open Friday & Saturdays 9-1, the second & fourth Tuesday of the month during Food Pantry and Sunday mornings before church 8:45-9:45 and after church by request. We accept clean, new & gentle used clothing, household items & furniture during hours of operation. Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact Diane Lewis or Kathy Cheatham if you have any questions. All money raised in the thrift store goes directly back to our church CURRENT SERVICES: You can join us for services live at the following times, or watch the recording any time at your convenience:
