Our Clergy
The Reverend Lucian Taylor, Clergy in ChargeLucian Taylor recently joined St. Mark’s as our new Senior Pastor. He has been leading various Christian ministries since 1985 while working as an executive in the architecture and software industries. Lucian received his Master of Divinity degree in 1994, and served in several Presbyterian and non-denominational churches before joining the Episcopal Church in 2017. He was ordained a Priest in August 2024. Lucian says, “It is an honor and a blessing for me to be at St. Mark’s. The rich history and deep roots of this congregation form a wonderful foundation on which to build new ministries to benefit all of God’s people in our community.”
Additionally, Lucian is the author of three novels, and the co-author of three adult sons: Luke, Jonathan, and Joshua. Lucian and his wife Patrice (an artist and Episcopal Deacon) live in Phoenix, which is also the home of Patrice’s two adult sons Shaheen and Kenaim. Lucian can be reached at [email protected]. |
Our Staff
Chris Perry, Music DirectorChris Perry has been the Praise Ensemble Director at St. Mark’s since 2004. In 2012, he became the Choir Director and organist for the St. Mark’s chancel choir, and in 2015, began leading music for the Spanish Service. Chris now directs the music for all services, leads the St. Mark's Mariachis, as well as leads the children in singing during Children’s Chapel. Chris says, “I love working at St. Mark’s for its loving (and music-loving!) congregation and for the glorious sanctuary in which we worship. I am inspired weekly by the beauty of our worship space as well as the enthusiasm of the congregation.”
Additionally, Chris is the Assistant Director of the Mesa City Band and the Associate Conductor of the East Valley Pops Orchestra, which has a rehearsal home at St. Mark’s. Chris and his wife Anali have two sons – Elmer and Arthur. Chris can be reached at [email protected] |
