Ministries at St. Mark's

Communications Committee
We are responsible for communicating information about St. Mark’s, including maintaining the website, and managing our presence on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. For questions or suggestions, or to volunteer to join the Communications Committee, contact Anali Perry at webmaster@stmarks.org.

Cursillo
The purpose of Cursillo is to help us understand our individual calling to be Christian leaders and help us to renew and deepen our Christian commitment and ministry. Active members of Cursillo attend a Three-Day Cursillo Weekend in order to focus on what is fundamental for being a Christian and to learn the Cursillo method. Anyone who is interested in learning more about Cursillo is invited to join us. Contact Monica Larsen at mlarsen498@aol.com for more information. We are currently meeting weekly via zoom.

Daughters of the King
The Daughters of the King is an international Order for women of the Episcopal Church. The Chapter at St. Mark’s is the Hilda of Whitby Chapter. Daughters dedicate themselves to a life of prayer, service, and personal evangelism. All women of the parish are welcome to join us. Contact the church office at 480-964-5820 or email office@stmarksmesa.org for more information.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
We encourage all women to join us as we use our God-given gifts to enrich our parish as we worship God. The Episcopal Church Women is an organization which is part of the National Church. Anyone interested in joining ECW should contact Jeanette Rogers at gramjayro@aol.com.

Food and Fellowship
We strive to provide the necessities required for the various activities of church life, including funeral receptions, special occasions and fund raising events such as the Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper. Contact Judy Hossack at at 480-612-1391 for more information or to volunteer.

Office Angels
We provide clerical assistance and a presence in the front office for visitors to our church. Angels answer telephones, greet visitors, make copies, file, assemble service bulletins/booklets, and various other projects under the direction of the Vicar and Ministry leader. Angels usually work one morning shift. For more information on how to help, contact the church office at 480-964-5820 or email office@stmarksmesa.org

Pastoral Care
Our Lay Eucharistic Visitors bring the sacrament of Holy Eucharist to those who are unable to come to church. A part of this ministry is meeting the needs and concerns of the dying or the bereaved, and supporting persons in circumstances surrounding end-of-life issues. We also send get-well and sympathy cards as appropriate and check-in phone calls to absent parishioners. Our group operates year round. Please contact Monica Larsen at mlarsen498@aol.com for more information.

St. Mark's Brotherhood (Men's Group)
Contact Fr. Gerardo Brambila for more information.
