Cursillo The purpose of Cursillo is to help us understand our individual calling to be Christian leaders and help us to renew and deepen our Christian commitment and ministry. Active members of Cursillo attend a Three-Day Cursillo Weekend in order to focus on what is fundamental for being a Christian and to learn the Cursillo method. Daughters of the King The Daughters of the King is an international Order for women of the Episcopal Church. The Chapter at St. Mark’s is the Hilda of Whitby Chapter. Daughters dedicate themselves to a life of prayer, service, and personal evangelism. All women of the parish are welcome to join us. Episcopal Church Women (ECW) We encourage all women to join us as we use our God-given gifts to enrich our parish as we worship God. The Episcopal Church Women is an organization which is part of the National Church. Anyone interested in joining ECW should contact Jeanette Rogers at [email protected].
Food and Fellowship We strive to provide the necessities required for the various activities of church life, including funeral receptions, special occasions and fund raising events such as the Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper. Office Angels We provide clerical assistance and a presence in the front office for visitors to our church. Angels answer telephones, greet visitors, make copies, file, assemble service bulletins/booklets, and various other projects under the direction of the parish adminstrator. Pastoral Care The Pastoral Care team works with our Clergy in Charge to support those facing illness, loss, or life transitions. When an individual cannot attend a liturgical service because of illness or other incapacity, Holy Communion may be brought to the home or the hospital following regularly scheduled services. You may also request prayers for healing for yourself or others, prayers for those who have died, prayers of thanksgiving following happy events, or prayers for whatever is on your heart.
