“Do The Work Of The One Who Sent You” Jesus said, “We must do the work of the one who sent me.” John 9:4 We are all called here to St. Mark’s. We may not have known it at the time, but God has called us all to do his work here in and through this place. We are called through our worship and praise, our prayers, and our service to others through our ministries. For all of this to happen, we need your continued support. St. Mark’s needs your time, talent, and also importantly your treasure. Your continued support helps the ministries reach out into our community. If you miss the fun events and activities of the past, volunteer your time and talent to bring them back! We also need your continued giving of the treasure that God gave you to do His work. You can give by check, cash, or credit card online. On our website, you can click  on either PayPal or FaithStreet to donate. This season is a perfect time to bring a friend or family to a service or an event. When you do this, you are spreading the Good News about Jesus and St. Mark’s.

Altar Guild: The Altar Guild needs new members. Would you like to join us in preparing the altar and sanctuary for church services, Holy Communion, and other observances? This is a fulfilling as well as educational ministry. Call Diane Lewis, 480-414-5497. Thank you!

Food Pantry: Distribution for the month of March will be on March 14th and 28th. Our set up day will be Monday, March 13th and 27th from 8AM-11AM. Volunteers are welcome and appreciated! Come any of these days or all! Join our team and help feed the hungry in our community!

During lent many usually give up something to concentrate more on what God would like us to do. This year could you add the food pantry to your “to do” list and help those that are food insecure. The pantry could use any of the following items: Mac and cheese, canned fruit, soup, ramen, canned tomato products (paste, sauce, whole, diced, crushed, spaghetti sauce), peanut butter, jelly, cereal. May God bless you for supporting St. Mark’s Food Pantry!

MarkDowns Thrift Store: Be a part of the Final 4 with fantastic finds, fun atmosphere, current fashions, and favorite friends. Big savings on our constantly changing inventory lets you score big on the bargains. You will feel like a winner after spending time at Mark Downs. We also welcome volunteers who basically want to help us from home, doing such projects as ironing, sorting through our greeting cards, all at the leisure of your own home. Open every Friday and Saturday 9:00 to 1:00 and in conjunction with the Food Pantry distribution schedule every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 8-noon. Show your love by supporting our thrift store.

Mark your Calendars: Each Friday during Lent, join us for a Lenten Soup Supper at 5 PM in the parish hall!

Sunday School is Back!: St. Mark’s Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9am to 9:45am. Children ages Pre-K to 2nd Grade gather in the Parish Hall and children Grade 3 and up meet in Classroom #2 across the courtyard.

Daughters of the King: The Daughters of the King would like your help in supporting a local domestic abuse center. This center places a strong emphasis in encouraging families to look for positive aspects in their lives, despite going through tremendous hardships and struggles. One way to assist them is to provide gratitude journals. We are going to decorate these journals and fill them with positive affirmations. We are asking help in providing any of the following: journals, individually wrapped pens, PA jagged of water color pencils, stickers and sheet protectors. We also will be collecting small travel sized hygiene items. For questions, contact Cyndi Armstrong or Mary Twentyman.
