The love of parents for their children is a constant reminder of the love of God for us. Together in Faith: And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:41 The Holy Spirit is just as active today as in Elizabeth’s time! Like Mary’s cousin, we too are often filled with this spirit of generosity, excitement, hopefulness and care for others. So with our Christmas feelings of peace and goodwill… we need to transform them into specific acts of charity and concern for others. Noticias Re"Mark"ados (Anuncios en español) Together in Faith: “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’” Luke 3:4 Although none of us may be as significant as John the Baptist, we too are called to prepare the way of the Lord. Advent reminds us that the Lord is continually coming into our world, and we are continually called to make his paths straight. Our actions of care, compassion, love and stewardship are the actions we can take to prepare the Lord’s way.
