When the crowds asked John how they should live, his answers were very specific. So with our Christmas feelings of peace and goodwill… we need to transform them into specific acts of charity and concern for others.

Together in Faith: “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’” Luke 3:4

Although none of us may be as significant as John the Baptist, we too are called to prepare the way of the Lord. Advent reminds us that the Lord is continually coming into our world, and we are continually called to make his paths straight. Our actions of care, compassion, love and stewardship are the actions we can take to prepare the Lord’s way.
