Noticias Re"Mark"ados (Anuncios en español) Together in Faith: Jesus answered Pilate, “My kingdom is not from this world.” John 18:36 Both his followers and opponents assumed Jesus’ kingdom would be in the land of Judea. But Jesus was preaching a much greater kingdom, a world-wide realm of justice, of love, of peace. We participate in that realm through our faith and the way we treat one another. Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there is an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Teresa Gordon. Commitment Sunday: Today, November 25th is the day we turn in our pledge cards with our financial commitment for 2019 in support of the mission of St. Mark’s. During the service we will ask you to come forward with your signed pledge card, and we’ll gather them together and offer them up to God in prayer. If you didn’t receive a pledge card in the mail, you may find one in the pew pocket on that day. If you have yet to decide on your giving for 2019, please consider that the church depends on the support of all here to sustain the many ministries here. We ask that all who attend St. Mark’s, both our full-time and seasonal members, take seriously their responsibility for financial stewardship of the parish and consider making a generous pledge of support. Thank You!: A big heartfelt thank you from the Food Pantry for all of your generous donations for our annual Thanksgiving food drive. St. Mark’s was able to assist many families in having a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
