Together in Faith: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s care. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29,31

Each person is worth more than many sparrows. Each person is of inestimable value in God’s eye. We are invited to be compassionate, caring, generous, thoughtful, tender and loving to each and every person we meet.

Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there will be an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. Fr. Harold Knight’s Birthday: On July 26th, Fr. Harold Knight will turn 105!!! He is not going to be able to make it this year for the celebration, so we are collecting birthday cards to deliver to him and request that any be turned in no later than Saturday, July 22nd. There will be a basket in Lion’s Den to collect the cards.

Devine Diners: The Devine Diners program kicked off last weekend with 20 attendees enjoying an indoor picnic at the home of Bobbie Degnon. Everyone enjoyed the good food and conversations with others. A list was provided showing the makeup of the smaller groups and all groups met to decide what their plans are. Fortunately we have had a few additional people sign up this week because they heard about all the fun. You are still welcome to join by contacting Carolyn Morgan at gcmorgan41@aol.com or 817-266-8016. New groups will be assigned in September but you don't have to wait until then to join.

Summer Food Drive: This summer when kids are home from school, there will be an increased need for wholesome snacks for needy families. The Food Pantry is having a peanut butter/cereal drive this summer. If you would like to donate there will be a designated box in the Narthex.

Together in Faith: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38

It can be challenging to imagine ourselves as workers in the Lord’s harvest field. Surely that’s for the clergy, or church workers, or missionaries, or…? Actually, the call is to each of us, to work for the Lord in our own special family, workplace, school. All we need is to let loose the imagination and creativity of God’s spirit already present within us.

Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there will be an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Judy Hossack.

Today's Readings: Genesis 1:1-2:4a ; Canticle 13;  2 Corinthians 13:11-13; Matthew 28:16-20

Noticias Re"Mark"adas (anuncios espanol)

Together in Faith: “And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Jesus remains with us in his Spirit, his word, his church. He is especially with us in one another, though. We are invited to constantly see him in those whom we can support and assist.

This week’s Parishioner Liaison is John Ddamba.

Sincerest Gratitude from the Bloom Family: The entire Bloom family: Fr Carl, Anne, Susan, John, Mark, Paul and the remaining extended family members would like to express their sincerest gratitude for such a lovely and heartfelt celebration of Valerie’s life. They would like to further extend special consideration to Daughters of the King, members of ECW&M, Fr. Gerardo, Fr. Steve, administration, and the musicians and singers of St. Mark’s for all of their fabulous assistance and music. All efforts were successful in making this day extra special for Valerie Bloom and her family.

Summer Sunday Service Change and Important Lion’s Den Info: As previously mentioned we will be changing our summer Sunday service schedule. We will have ONE English service on Sundays at 10 am. In regards to Lion's Den, beginning Sunday, June 11th, we will switch to having donuts and coffee (provided by the Church) instead of ministries bringing food. The ministry assigned to that Sunday's Lion's Den will STILL be responsible for making coffee, set up and clean up before and after but they will not need to bring food. Fr. Gerardo feels this will be a welcome break for all the ministries this summer as well. Our regular service times and Lion's Den hosting responsibilities are anticipated to return in September.

Summer Food Drive: This summer when kids are home from school, there will be an increased need for wholesome snacks for needy families. The Food Pantry is having a peanut butter/cereal drive this summer. If you would like to donate there will be a designated box in the Narthex.
