![]() East Valley Pops Orchestra: The East Valley Pops Orchestra will be having its end of the season concert here in the St. Mark’s Sanctuary this Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 7PM. This is a free concert. A collection is taken that is split between the church and the Richey Fund that goes to Title 1 School Music Programs. The Thrift Store will also be open. Name Tags: St. Mark's is providing name tags for our regular attendees which are located on hanging magnetic banners across from the men's restroom in the Narthex. We encourage you to wear your name tag and get to know all your neighbors in the pews. If you don't see your name tag, please write your name on the sheet on the card table. Name tags for our church youth can be made available by request of their parents/guardians. Please return your name tag to the magnetic banners after the service. There are also blank name tags available for all guests at the card table. We will continue to take pictures and gather parishioner's information each Sunday following the service. Pictures are taken in the conference hallway at the back of Knight Hall. (If mobility is an issue, Kathy Cheatham can take your picture inside our church.) You can reach her at 602-578-7538 with any questions. The office will combine all this information into our new computer's data base and eventually offer a church directory (online or printed TBA) to all parishioners. Thank you for participating in this project. Our goal to have as many photos and info completed by April 27th, if possible. Mark your calendars! Right after our 10am service on Sunday March 30, St. Mark’s is having a Ministry Fair in our parish hall. Whether you’re new to St. Mark’s or have been here a long time, this is your chance to learn about all our different ministries, and how you can use the unique talents God gave you to bless others by being part of one or more ministries. There is also a Bake Sale coinciding on the day of the Ministry Fair. All donations are welcome. Money raised will be going to the St. Mark’s Discretionary Fund. Food Pantry: March set-up days: March 10th and 24th , 7-9am. Distribution: March 11th and 25th, 8-10:30am. God Bless everyone for supporting our mission to help the food insecure in Mesa! The food pantry wants to thank you for all the food that was given during Advent. We would like to continue collecting food. If you could give food monthly it would help our budget go further. We are in need of peanut butter and jelly, cereal, canned vegetables or beans. There will be a box in the narthex to deposit the food items. Thank you for helping us. Thrift Store: Mark Downs Thrift Store is open Friday & Saturdays 9-1, the second & fourth Tuesday of the month during Food Pantry and Sunday mornings before church 8:45-9:45 and after church by request. We accept clean, new & gentle used clothing, household items & furniture during hours of operation. Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact Diane Lewis or Kathy Cheatham if you have any questions. All money raised in the thrift store goes directly back to our church. Don't forget to come visit our Thrift Store before or after the East Valley Pop's Orchestra's concert on March 25th for our "concert" store specials that will send everyone home singing. CURRENT SERVICES: You can join us for services live at the following times, or watch the recording any time at your convenience:

A note from Father Lucian: As many of you know, this year’s cold and flu season is still active. To help us stay healthy this Lenten season, please follow these guidelines for participating in our Sunday worship services and other events at St. Mark’s: 1. If you are sick, please stay home. We love you, but not your germs. If you decide to stay home, please join us for live Sunday worship online. 2. If you are not sick, but are older or have a weakened immune system, or simply don’t want to risk getting sick, please consider wearing one of our free masks that are on the tables as you enter the sanctuary. We don’t want you to get sick! 3. To help keep both you and others from accidentally transmitting germs while at church, before you enter the sanctuary or the Parish Hall please use the free hand sanitizer that is available in the Narthex, in the Parish Hall, and in the Men’s and Women’s restrooms. 4. If possible, while inside the sanctuary or the Parish Hall, please try to spread out as much as possible, so that there is plenty of room between people in the pews or at tables. Most airborne disease germs and viruses like cold, flu, RSV, and pneumonia are airborne. These germs and viruses fall to the floor within a few feet of transmission from a sick person, so help us stay healthy by spacing out physically (but not mentally ;-) ). Mark your calendars! ![]() Church Directory: Our church office is in the process of changing computer systems. One feature will be the ability to create a directory of our church members. We are going to start taking pictures early in preparation for this program. Kathy Cheatham will begin photographing this Sunday in the Hall during the potluck dinner. There will be a short information form to complete with the pictures. Please plan to join us as we build our new directory. From this project, we will also produce name tags.
