Hopefully not us! The message of Jesus can come to us in many settings and in many ways. Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there will be an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Bob Cheatham Fr. Harold Knight’s Birthday: On July 26th, Fr. Harold Knight will turn 105!!! He is not going to be able to make it this year for the celebration, so we are collecting birthday cards to deliver to him and request that any be turned in no later than Saturday, July 22nd. There will be a basket in Lion’s Den to collect the cards. Episcopal Night at Chase Field: The Arizona Diamondbacks invite all members of The Episcopal Diocese of Arizona along with their family and friends to an exciting division rivalry as the D-backs take on the San Francisco Giants on Friday, August 25 at 6:40 p.m.! New this year: we're all sitting together in the same section, so everyone will have more of an opportunity to chat with fellow Episcopalians and Bishop and Laura Smith! Seating Option: $22 - Lower Level Bleachers (section 141) (these seats do have backs). A portion of every ticket purchased by using this special offer will be designated for the Diocesan Council for Native American Ministry. The pre-game party has returned! Join Episcopalians from all over the Diocese at Trinity Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt St. in Phoenix, for a pre-game celebration beginning at 5:00 p.m. Parking at Trinity is available at select spots in the garage (read the signs!), in front of Diocesan House, and street parking in the neighborhood. There will be food available for purchase from local food trucks. Gather for refreshments and fellowship, then take the light rail with other fans to the ballpark. Tickets are $4/person for an all-day pass and can be purchased at the light rail stop. The Central/Roosevelt Stop is adjacent to Trinity. After the game, stay for post-game festivities that are part of the D-Backs Faith & Family Night. There will be fireworks, followed by a player Q&A. Special guest Newsboys will be performing a concert as the main act of the festivities. The ticket order deadline is August 23, 2017. Seating is Limited! Tickets can be purchased online at http:// www.azdiocese.org/baseball.html, by phone (the number is on the form), or by mailing the attached order form or contact Maureen Davies. Back to School: Believe it or not, school will be starting soon! The Food Pantry will be giving out school supplies again this year. There will be a donation box in the Narthex for parishioners who would like to donate paper, pencils, pens, glue, erasers, etc. Thank you to everyone who has generously donated summer food and snacks for the summer! Junior Warden Schedule: Our Junior Warden, Bob Cheatham, will be keeping regularly scheduled hours at the office: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 8-10 am performing various maintenance duties; also every Friday from 7 am-11 am performing beautification, and property maintenance.
