Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there will be an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Caleb Collins. Fashion Show: Mark Downs Thrift Store and our ECW & Men’s group are joining forces to host a Fashion Show highlighting Mark Downs merchandise on February 3rd, 2018. Besides the Fashion Show and lunch, there will be a silent auction, raffle prizes, entertainment by the Uptown Angels and shopping at Mark Downs. We are looking for models of all ages, sizes, gender. Have you ever dreamed of walking the runway? Please contact Jeanette Rogers if you are interested. You can wear something you’ve already purchased from the store, find something from Mark Down’s to show off or wear something you’d like to donate to the store after you’ve modeled it. We are asking for donations of tea pots that will be enhanced by our décor committee. They will fit perfectly with our theme Dressed to a Tea….Party!! Please give these to Maureen Davis or Jeannie Buckingham. Would you like to set a table for 8 by showing off your own dinnerware, silverware, linens, napkins, etc? You can decorate one or as many tables as you’d like. If you are interested, please see Judy Hossack for more details. Watch our website, bulletins and newsletter for additional information. It will be Tea Party you won’t want to miss.” Episcopal Night at Chase Field: The Arizona Diamondbacks invite all members of The Episcopal Diocese of Arizona along with their family and friends as the D-backs take on the San Francisco Giants on Friday, August 25 at 6:40 p.m.! New this year: we're all sitting together in the same section, so everyone will have more of an opportunity to chat with fellow Episcopalians and Bishop and Laura Smith! Seating Option: $22 - Lower Level Bleachers (section 141) (these seats do have backs). A portion of every ticket purchased by using this special offer will be designated for the Diocesan Council for Native American Ministry. The pre-game party has returned at Trinity Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt St. in Phoenix, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Gather for refreshments and fellowship, then take the light rail with other fans to the ballpark. Tickets are $4/person for an all-day pass and can be purchased at the light rail stop. The Central/Roosevelt Stop is adjacent to Trinity. After the game, stay for post-game festivities that are part of the D-Backs Faith & Family Night. There will be fireworks, followed by a player Q&A. Special guest Newsboys will be performing a concert. The ticket order deadline is August 23, 2017. Junior Warden Schedule: Our Junior Warden, Bob Cheatham, will be keeping regularly scheduled hours at the office: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 8-10 am performing various maintenance duties; also every Friday from 7 am-11 am performing beautification, and property maintenance.
