Together in Faith: All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability. Acts 2:4
The coming of the Spirit, so dramatic at Pentecost, continues in a quieter fashion even today. Each of us, without exception, has received abilities to live, proclaim and spread the Gospel, the Good News. We may spend some time asking ourselves what our unique abilities might be.
Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there will be an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Caleb Collins.
Summer Sunday Service Change and Important Lion’s Den Info: As previously mentioned we will be changing our summer Sunday service schedule. Beginning today we will have ONE English service on Sundays at 10 am. In regards to Lion's Den, beginning Sunday, June 11th, we will switch to having donuts and coffee (provided by the Church) instead of ministries bringing food. The ministry assigned to that Sunday's Lion's Den will STILL be responsible for making coffee, set up and clean up before and after but they will not need to bring food. Fr. Gerardo feels this will be a welcome break for all the ministries this summer as well. Our regular service times and Lion's Den hosting responsibilities are anticipated to return in September.
Summer Food Drive: This summer when kids are home from school, there will be an increased need for wholesome snacks for needy families. The Food Pantry is having a peanut butter/cereal drive this summer. If you would like to donate there will be a designated box in the Narthex.
