Today's Readings: Exodus 20:1-17; Psalm 19; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25; John 2:13-22
Noticias Re"Mark"adas (anuncios espanol) Together in Faith: For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18 Lent is a foolishness to many people, but to we Christians it can be a time of spiritual growth and healing, a time of grace and forgiveness, a time of challenge and hope. Bishop's Committee Parishioner Liaison: Every week there is an assigned member of the Bishop's Committee to serve as a Parishioner Liaison. We encourage parishioners to seek out this assigned member whenever there is a suggestion, question or concern. The liaisons will bring all comments to the monthly meeting of the Bishop's Committee to be addressed as appropriate. This week’s Parishioner Liaison is Charles Vaughn. Chapel Rock Sunday: Today is Chapel Rock Sunday throughout the Diocese. Bishop Smith asks that, on this day, each church and individual member support the Chapel Rock Campership Fund for the benefit of our children and youth. Last summer, over $44,000 was awarded to campers in need of financial aid. Please join with us in changing lives and help send children and youth to camp this summer! Please write "Chapel Rock" in the memo line on your check and drop that in the collection plate. You can also go to Chapel Rock's Website to contribute securely online. Bishop’s Visit: The Rt. Rev. Kirk Smith will be celebrating with us at St. Mark’s this next Sunday, March 11, 2018 for one bilingual service at 10 am. He will be serving as celebrant with a special treat for the children in attendance. The loose offering for this day is traditionally designated for the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund and there will be envelopes available for additional donations to this fund. Join us after the service for a potluck lunch! Upcoming Ministry Meetings:
