Re"Mark"able News - August 28

Together in Faith: "When you are invited to a wedding banquet, do not sit at the place of honor...instead go and sit at the lowest place." Luke 14:8-10

For the people listening to Jesus tell this story, deliberately sitting at a back table nearest the kitchen at a public event like a wedding banquet would be almost unthinkable! But once again, Jesus invites his hearers, and us, to embrace a new way of thinking, a way that emphasizes not our own good but the good of others.
